At the top of the PowerPoint application, you will find the Insert tab. This tab is located on the menu bar and contains various options to insert objects such as images, charts, videos, and more into your presentation. To access these options, simply click on the Insert tab.
Once in the Insert tab, locate the Video button in the Media group, generally situated on the right side. Simply click on it to access a drop-down menu and proceed with your desired action.
When prompted, select between “Video on My PC” or “Online Video.” Opt for “Video on My PC” if the video file is stored on your computer, and choose “Online Video” if it’s an online video from platforms such as YouTube.
For “Video on My PC,” browse and select the video file in the dialogue box, then click “Insert.” For “Online Video,” paste the embedded code or search online in the dialogue box.
Once the video is inserted, easily resize it by clicking and dragging the edges. You can also relocate the video on the slide by clicking and dragging it to a new position.
In addition to accessing the “Playback” tab for settings like trimming and fading in/out, you can further customize your video by adding a play button and choosing when it starts – either on click or automatically.
